Floating Nursery Practitioner

Salary: £24,000 - £30,000 gross per annum, depending on experience.
Hours: 7:50am – 6:30pm, 4 days per week (with 1 day off) or 9 days every 2 weeks

 

We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Nursery Practitioner (Floater) to join our team and provide high-quality care and education to children across different nursery settings. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to either be based in one room or float between various settings, depending on their experience and preference.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Early Years Qualification: Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
  • Proven Experience: Previous experience working as a Nursery Practitioner in a similar setting.
  • Knowledge of Early Years Framework: A solid understanding of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) and how to implement it effectively.
  • Child Development: Experience supporting the learning and development of children, with a good understanding of individual developmental needs.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Adaptability: The ability to move between different nursery rooms and provide support in a variety of environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily Routine & Development: Assist in implementing the daily routine and support children's learning and development.
  • Building Relationships: Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive and nurturing environment.
  • Inclusion & Diversity: Support the inclusion and diversity of all children within the nursery, ensuring everyone feels valued.
  • Maintaining Safety: Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging environment for children to learn and play in.
  • Flexibility: Move flexibly between different nursery settings as required, providing consistent care.
