Role Overview:
As a Biology Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Biology across Key Stages 3 to 5. We are looking for an individual who can deliver engaging and effective lessons that stimulate curiosity and foster a deep understanding of the subject. You will work collaboratively with the Science Department to develop innovative teaching strategies and contribute to the continued success of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality Biology lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5
Ensure lessons cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students, promoting achievement and progress for all
Develop and implement effective schemes of work and assessment strategies
Inspire students with a love for Biology and encourage them to pursue the subject beyond school
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback
Contribute to extracurricular activities related to Science, such as clubs, trips, or enrichment opportunities
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and stimulating curriculum across the Science Department
Person Specification:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Biology or a related subject
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Biology
Experience teaching Biology at KS4 and KS5, with a track record of excellent student outcomes
Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities
Strong organisational and communication skills
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
Willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school
