The Business

This manufacturing business based in Preston is the UKs number 1 for the product they deliver. With a current turnover of £10million they have aspiring growth plans. Growth in coming years will largely be based around increased sales, looking for opportunities to upsell and cross sell to existing and historical customers along with new sales online.

As a Finance Assistant you will be responsible for managing the Purchase Ledger along with assisting other members of the team with their duties as and when required. Ideally as a team they are looking for a candidate at the start of their finance career who is wanting to learn and gain exposure to a finance role within a growing manufacturing business.

Due to the team going through a restructure at the moment this role will initially start on a 6 month temporary contract with a high chance of it going permanent after the 6 months for the right candidate.

The Requirements

• Some transactional accounts experience
• Purchase Ledger experience at a low or high volume level
• Some manufacturing experience would be beneficial but not essential
• Experience using accounting software
• Some multi-currency invoice experience would be beneficial

The Role

The role will see you earning a salary of up to £27k depending on experience, along with multiple company benefits. The business have a supportive finance team and who want to help a candidate gain experience.
