About Us: A leading construction firm specializing in delivering high-quality new build and refurbishment projects. With a reputation for excellence and a strong portfolio of successful projects, we are expanding our team and looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join us. If you're a motivated professional with a proven track record in managing complex projects from inception to completion, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage multiple new build and refurbishment projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Prepare and review contract documentation, including subcontracts, tender documents, and project proposals.
Liaise with clients, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Manage project budgets, monitor costs, and ensure financial targets are met.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, health & safety standards, and company procedures.
Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
Resolve any contractual disputes or issues that arise, in collaboration with senior management.
Prepare regular progress reports and attend client meetings to provide updates on project status.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or similar role within the construction industry, with a focus on new build and refurbishment projects.
Strong knowledge of construction contracts, processes, and regulations.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams and liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
A solid understanding of budget management, cost control, and financial reporting.
Relevant degree or professional qualification in Construction Management or related field (e.g., RICS, CIOB).
Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
A proactive approach with the ability to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Desirable:

Experience with NEC3, JCT, or similar contract types.
Knowledge of sustainability practices and environmental regulations in construction.
Health and safety certification (e.g., SMSTS).
