Description

The responsibility for the R&D Design Engineer are as follows;

Design and develop innovative white goods products for the Engineering & Manufacturing department.
Collaborate with the R&D team to enhance existing products in order to maximise usage of the product range.
Utilise CAD software (Solidworks, SolidEdge, Inventer) for design purposes.
Work closely with the production team to ensure designs are feasible.
Conduct thorough testing of designs to ensure functionality and safety.
Keep up-to-date with industry developments and implement them into designs where applicable.
Communicate effectively with various departments to ensure smooth project completion.
Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry regulations.Profile

A successful R&D Design Engineer should have the following;

A HNC, HND, NVQ or equivalent in an Engineering or a related field.
Proficiency in CAD software (Solidworks, SolidEdge or Inventer)
A demonstrable background across R&D/product development environment is key.
A strong background within the white goods manufacturing sector.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
A highly analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
