Through continued growth they are now seeking a Welder Fabricator with some experience of mechanical fitting to join the team providing Planned Preventative Maintenance and responding to breakdowns. Alternatively, a Mechanical Fitter who has completed their Apprenticeship would also be highly suitable!ResponsibilitiesAlong with planned & reactive maintenance, the Welder Fabricator will work as part of the Mechanical Shift, having the opportunity to undertake PPM’s, react to breakdowns, complete projects and improvement work to both plant machinery & building infrastructure, across this large & highly automated production facility.Requiring a proactive approach and good attention to detail, the Welder Fabricator must have good understanding of Health, Safety & Environmental, ensuring work is completed in accordance with the CMMS & the companies EH&S guidelines.Skills & ExperienceGood welding (MIG / Stick), Fabrication & some knowledge of Mechanical Maintenance ideally including some of the following: Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Chains, Bearings, Shafts, Seals, Motors etcGood troubleshooting & diagnostics skillsExperience of mechanical equipment inspections & jobs issued via the CMMS scheduleMaintain & update files/records using the CMMS systemEnsure spares are kept to optimum levels and spares used in PPM or repairs are recorded to enable Stores inventory to be updated accuratelyIdeally a formal qualification in Welding, fabrication or Mechanical EngineeringGood ability to read technical drawingsAble to Work at Height and in Confined Spaces with relevant training providedComputer literate, with a good working knowledge of MS office packagesGood communication and team skillsExcellent organisational skills and the ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervisionIf this role sounds of interest, please apply now and send your most up to date CV to Alec at TechNichols Resourcing to be considered or call TechNichols Resourcing and speak with Alec for further information.We will endeavour to get back to all applicants but if you have not heard back within 5 working days unfortunately your application has been unsuccessful.
