SEN TA - Burnley:

Prospero Teaching would like to recruit a knowledgeable SEN Teaching Assistant for Reception class in a good primary school near Burnley. This will be on a full time basis, supporting pupils 1-1 or in small groups. The successful candidate will have previous experience working with children with SEN. You will need to have excellent curriculum knowledge and clear communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading groups of children on learning activities
  • Managing behaviour effectively
  • Preparing resources and establishing learning areas

  • Location: Burnley
  • Position: SEN TA
  • Hours: 8am-4pm
  • Full time/part time: Full time only
  • Type of work: Temporary
  • Start date: December 2024
  • End date: Ongoing
  • Minimum rate of pay: £110 per day depending on experience

Experience, Training & Qualifications:

  • Up to date Safeguarding certificate within the last year (desirable but training can be provided)
  • Team Teach qualification would be highly desired
  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification would be highly desirable

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold right to work in the UK

Hold and enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application

Provide two professional child related references
