Are you enthusiastic about drama and passionate about education? Our secondary schools in Romford are looking for a dedicated Drama Cover Supervisor to join our team starting in September 2024.

As a Drama Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absences. Your responsibilities will include supervising drama classes, ensuring that students remain engaged and on task, and supporting the overall learning environment. You will have the opportunity to inspire students and contribute to their development in drama and performing arts.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise drama classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring a positive learning environment.
Follow lesson plans and ensure students stay focused and productive.
Support students in their understanding and completion of tasks related to drama.
Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe and orderly environment.
Assist with the preparation and organization of drama resources and equipment.
Ideal Candidate:

A strong background in drama or performing arts, with relevant experience or qualifications.
Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage students.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
A proactive and flexible approach to working in a dynamic school environment.
As a Drama Cover Supervisor, you will be essential in supporting the smooth running of our drama department. Your passion for drama and your ability to manage and inspire students will be crucial to their success and enjoyment of the subject.

Requirements:

Relevant qualifications or experience in drama or a related field.
Experience working with secondary school students is advantageous.
Strong understanding of classroom management techniques and strategies.
