Are you looking for a rewarding job within the education sector? We are looking for a full time Lecturer in Health and Social Care to join Buckinghamshire College Group, based at our Wycombe Campus.

Buckinghamshire College Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced T Level Health Lecturer with clinical experience to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in planning and delivering exceptional teaching and learning across a range of health courses, from Level 1 to level 3 and T Level. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and motivate learners, helping them to achieve their full potential and prepare for rewarding careers in the health and social care sector.

The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience of working within a clinical setting (hospital, care home, nursing home etc). Using the skills, knowledge and experience you will be able to inspire students to achieve their qualifications. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and Deliver High-Quality Teaching: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the course specifications and cater to the diverse needs of learners. Ensure all teaching, learning, and assessment activities are of the highest standard.
  • Inspire and Motivate Learners: Foster a positive and supportive learning environment. Encourage students to set high aspirations and support them in achieving their goals.
  • Use your clinical experience and in-depth knowledge of the sector to deliver accurate and comprehensive content. Stay updated with the latest industry practices and standards.
  • Support Goal Setting and Behaviour Management: Assist learners in setting personal and academic goals. Implement effective behaviour management strategies to create a conducive learning environment.
  • Placement and career preparation: help prepare learners for their clinical placement, using clinical expertise and experience.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Conduct regular assessments and provide constructive feedback to support learner development. Track and monitor student progress to ensure successful outcomes.

Taking Teaching Further

The College actively engages with the Education & Training Foundation's Taking Teaching Further scheme to recruit industry professionals to teach within Further Education.

As industry professionals offer our students industry experience and insight we support our unqualified teachers to learn 'on the job'. You will be given full support throughout your development to fully qualified teacher status. Whilst in employment you would be enrolled onto the Level 3 Award in Education and Training. After completion you can choose to move be onto our Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training qualification. This is a great way for experienced professionals to achieve a recognised teaching qualification whilst in employment.
