Description
- Supervise, train, and support the Purchase Ledger team to ensure efficient processing of invoices, payments, and expenses.
- Resolve complex queries related to supplier accounts and payment processes.
- Ensure timely payment of suppliers by monitoring and chasing aged invoices.
- Process payments for wages, PAYE, pensions, and other manual payments when necessary.
- Oversee bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Contribute to process improvement efforts to enhance efficiency and accuracy in Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) activities.
- Prepare and present reports on team performance and activities to management.
Profile
A successful Purchase Ledger Team Leader should have:
- Proven experience in a similar role within the Industrial / Manufacturing industry (preferred)
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent knowledge of financial regulations and procedures
- Good communication skills and the ability to manage supplier relationships
- Proficiency in financial software
