Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a specialist school catering for children and young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

We are looking for a dynamic and inspiring educator with a strong background in teaching English, who is committed to helping students develop their literacy skills in a nurturing and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young people with additional needs and be able to tailor lessons to engage and motivate students.

Key Responsibilities:

* Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons that are engaging and appropriate for students with SEMH needs

* Support students in developing their reading, writing, and communication skills

* Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel safe and supported

* Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement strategies to support student progress

* Provide pastoral care and support to students, promoting their well-being and development

* Work with external partners and stakeholders to support students' wider needs

The Ideal Candidate:

* Qualified English Teacher with experience teaching in a SEND/SEMH setting (or a strong willingness to learn)

* Passionate about supporting young people with additional needs to achieve their potential

* Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage students in their learning

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* A commitment to creating a nurturing, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
