Flourish Education are recruiting for an experienced Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant to work at a local school in the cenre of Walsall on a fixed term basis starting after October half term 2024. This position wil be spllit between year 3 and year 4, supporting the teacher throughout the day. As the role is split, you may spend a morning in one class and the afternoon in another, or two full days in one class and the other three days in the other yer group. However, you have to be flexible that this may change on the day.

The role is a full-time position within a lovely 2 form entry school which boasts a lovely supportive environment. you will be working with small groups and potentially on a 1:1 basis, be able to lisaise with the class teacher, SENDCO and other agencies.

Working hours are Monday - Friday 8.15am - 15:30pm.

Required skills and experience

A valid Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or Teaching Assistant 3 qualification.
Previous experience working in a primary school
Previous experience working with pupils with SEND
Knowledge/training related to pupils with SEND
Experience supporting children and managing challenging behaviour
Experience working with/contributing to pupil Action Plans.

The schools are located in the centre of Walsall and due to the good public transport links can be reached by those travelling by bus from the surrounding areas of Birchills, Willenhall, Palfrey, Sutton Coldfield and Great Barr. For those travelling by car onsite parking is available.
