GMP Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client in Kidderminster for an experienced Project Manager to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. Our client is a highly recognisable and hugely successful Engineering business that has seen substantial growth and development in recent years.

This role will involve complying with all the company policies and procedures, and to provide technical and commercial project management for the company contracts from internal handover to final acceptance by the customer, health and safety, Quality and the environment.

We are lookig for an individual who can demonstrate a minimum of 5 years experience within a similar Project Management, engineering and technical role.

Project Manager main duties:? To manage all aspects of the companies’ contracts so that they are completed within time, specification, and budget.? To proactively manage the contracts to meet project timescales and improve margins.? To report on the contracts as required by the company project reporting processes.? To maintain, and assist in the development of, project management controls for costs and planning? To support the electrical and mechanical engineering departments to achieve the design standards for the company projects.? To foster and maintain harmonious relationships with customers, sub-contractors and company staff and to develop good working relationships? To attend, contribute to, and when required call such meetings as are required to effectively manage the contracts under the control of this role.? To maintain control over all company staff and sub-contractors working on the contracts and ensure they comply with all relevant Safety, Quality Assurance and Environmental Protection standards and procedures? To give assistance as required in the process of quoting for new work for the client.? To provide a flexible approach to meet the reasonable business goals of the company.? To support any activities at customer locations when required during the project.? To carry out any other duties as reasonably required commensurate with the nature of the job and level of responsibility

Project Manager desired skills and experience:? Excellent inter-personal and communication skills with all levels of customers and colleagues.? Project manager with wide practical experience, comfortable working in technically and socially complex environments? To be available to work at our client’s site and on customer’s locations? Ability to work on own initiative and be self-driven? HND or higher STEM qualification is preferred? PMI or APM accreditation is preferred? Minimum of 5 years’ experience within project management or similar role? Full UK valid driving license.
