Pertemps West Bromwich are looking for Foundry Operatives on behalf of our well established client in the Sandwell area.
 
Pay: The pay rate varies from £11.44 to £19.00 depending on experience
 
Hours: Various day shifts available between the hours of 04:00am and 16:00pm (8/9 hour shifts)
 
Key Responsibilities:

Operate furnaces, molds, and other casting equipment to produce metal components
Predominantly sandcasting but will also involve diecasting
Prepare materials and equipment for the casting process
Pour, mold, and finish castings to exact specifications
Perform quality checks and monitor production to meet high standards
Safely handle molten metals, adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols
Maintain and clean machinery and tools, reporting any issues or necessary repairs
Work closely with team members to meet production schedules and targets
Document and report production metrics as required
Skills & Qualifications:

Previous experience in a foundry, metalworking, or manufacturing environment (preferred but not essential - training provided for the right candidate)
Knowledge of foundry safety practices and equipment operation
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with exposure to heat and heavy machinery
Strong attention to detail and quality-oriented mindset
Basic understanding of measurements and technical drawings
Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively
Flexible and adaptable with a willingness to learn new techniques and skills
