A leading provider of IT services is seeking a skilled and dedicated IT Support Technician to join our educational support team, offering technical assistance to primary schools across Liverpool and Wirral. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly capable IT professional with experience in the education sector who can enhance the quality of IT support in primary schools.

About the Role: As an IT Support Technician, you will:

  • Deliver regular, reliable network management services to primary schools.
  • Support various technologies, including Windows Server networks, mobile devices, network infrastructure, and education-specific software solutions.
  • Provide guidance on cloud-based tools like Google Workspace, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365, and MDM solutions such as Sophos, Jamf, and Lightspeed.
  • Offer proactive advice to improve school IT networks and cross-curricular IT usage.
  • Act as a key contact for technical issues, maintaining a help desk facility and offering timely, clear updates to clients.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven IT support experience within the education sector, with expertise in Microsoft Windows, Server OS, and wireless/network technologies.
  • Strong understanding of IT hardware, educational software, and network security tools.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with a proactive approach to teamwork and leadership.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).

Ideal Candidate Attributes:

  • High-level technical competence, particularly in Windows Server, mobile device management, and ISP/filtration tools.
  • Ability to provide hands-on technical guidance that supports educational goals and standards.
  • Commitment to raising the quality of IT provision in schools, contributing to a comprehensive curriculum.
  • Driving licence and own vehicle
