Supply Desk is seeking an enthusiastic Drama Teacher for a new position in the area of High Wycombe. We are looking for an individual who can create a safe and supportive environment where all children are encouraged to learn and grow

Role: Drama Teacher

Location: High Wycombe

Start: September 2024

About the role:

Develop and deliver engaging drama lesson plans that foster creativity, performance skills, and a passion for theatre.
Instruct students in various acting techniques, theatre games, and performance activities, adapting lessons to different skill levels and interests.
Assess and monitor student progress in acting abilities and theatrical knowledge.
Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes collaboration, respect, and self-expression.
Demonstrate and reinforce proper techniques and safety practices in all drama-related activities.
Collaborate with colleagues to integrate drama into other subjects and school-wide initiatives.
Plan and manage extracurricular drama programs, including school plays, drama clubs, and theatre workshops.
Maintain clear and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and participation in drama activities.
The ideal candidate will:

Has experience in teaching in Secondary Schools
Strong knowledge of the Drama curriculum
Degree and QTS Desirable (Unqualified Teachers also welcome to apply)
Be a committed team player
Be confident and adaptable to different environments
Have strong classroom management skills
Able to commute to High Wycombe and the surrounding areas
