Job Title: Social Worker / Senior Social Worker - Safeguarding

- Social Worker: £39,951 - £40,614
- Senior Social Worker: £46,041 - £49,083
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
About the Role
This role will involve supporting children and young people who are subject to Child Protection plans and Child in Need plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understanding when to transfer cases from the Safeguarding team to the Permanence team
- Building strong and respectful working relationships with families, their support network and our partner agencies
- Regular assessment writing, threshold application, home visits, direct work, care planning, chairing meetings and case recording in line with our policies and procedures
- Ensuring that children and young people are actively involved in our work and their voice is captured in our case recording
- Actively taking part in reflective supervision and group supervision
About You
- An effective communicator
- Resilient worker, able to work effectively in a team or on your own, taking ownership and responsibility for the cases you are assigned
- Confident and competent with the relevant statutory and regulatory framework and have knowledge of an appropriate range of professional interventions
- Evidence of championing inclusion and diversity whilst making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people
- Solution-focused person with the ability to deal with sensitive issues.
Qualifications
- Relevant Social Work qualification
- Completion of ASYE
- Active Social Work England registration
Experience:
- Preferably recent experience in a similar role.

Important Notes:
- This is a hybrid role. Candidates will be expected to be in the office/community 3 times a week.
