Long Term Futures are working in partnership with a supportive and high-achieving primary school in Croydon (CR0) to appoint a confident and capable Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support across Key Stage 2, with a particular focus on Year 5 and Year 6. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified HLTA or an experienced Teaching Assistant who is looking to step up into a more involved classroom support role.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver small group interventions in Maths, Reading, and Writing to pupils in Year 5 and 6
Provide targeted support to pupils preparing for SATs and secondary transition
Lead the class during short-term teacher absence or PPA cover as needed
Work with the class teacher to adapt planning and resources to meet varied learner needs
Support pupils with SEND or additional learning needs, ensuring inclusive practice
Track pupil progress and provide verbal and written feedback
Assist with homework clubs, learning boosters and after-school sessions where requiredWhat You'll Need:

A HLTA qualification (Level 4 or above) is desirable
Experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistants who are ready to step up will also be considered
Prior experience working in Key Stage 2, ideally with Year 5 or Year 6
A confident classroom presence and a proactive, flexible attitude
Good knowledge of the KS2 curriculum, SATs preparation and differentiation strategiesBenefits of working with Long Term Futures:
