THE ROLE

As the Shipping and Export Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring that customer orders are dispatched accurately and efficiently to the required standards internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shipment processing: Ensure accurate processing of goods for despatch, maintaining stock traceability.
  • Regulations: Remain up to date with all current import and export regulations, incoterms, harmonised codes and relevant dangerous goods (lithium ion) requirements.
  • Stock checks: Undertake weekly Finished Goods stock checks, reporting up to date and accurate levels to the Despatch Manager.
  • Communicate: Liaise with Sales and Service teams and directly with customers for support and providing updates.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Skills and experience

  • Knowledge of quote and order processing using an integrated ERP system (Advantageous).
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Proficient level of accuracy and diligence.
  • Excellent literacy & numeracy skills.
  • Computer proficient.

Personal qualities

  • Strong attention to detail and driven to achieve high standards.
  • Ability to prioritise, multitask and remain calm under pressure, and to strict deadlines.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to speak, read and write in English clearly and accurately
  • Proactive approach to work, anticipating potential issues and dealing with them effectively.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team

Contract type: Permanent

Option to work either a condensed 4 day week (07:00 - 16:30, Mon - Thurs) OR 5 day week

(08:00 - 16:30 Mon - Thurs and 08:00 - 12:00 Fri)
