Spencer Clarke Group are looking for Procurement and Business Partner to join one of our public clients on a full-time basis. This role will be a 4-month contract initially with the option to extend to 12 months. The role will involve taking on ultimate accountability for the organisation's procurement of products and services within a roughly £28 million non-pay budget. This entails leading the strategic, operational, and governance facets of the organisation's partnerships with suppliers and contractors in addition to offering the organisations management expert counsel on the legal and managerial facets of contract management and procurement.
What you'll do:

  • Manage and lead the organisations procurements for assigned business areas and develop along with implement the policies for managing programmes of work and quality assurance procedures within Procurement and contract manage that impact across the organisation.
  • Responsible for the development, management and operation of the systems and processes to meet the organisation's contract management and procurement requirements.
  • Interpret new procurement standards and the DHSC Directives and implement system change accordingly.
  • Provide advice and guidance to Directors, managers and other staff on financial and legal issues that relate to contracts and procurement.

What we're looking for:

  • Qualifications: CIPS Level 5 or equivalent experience.
  • Strong negotiation, financial analysis, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills with a focus on achieving cost savings and business objectives.
  • Experience in working in procurement.
  • UK Driving licence to commute to Manchester office when required.
