About the role:

We're seeking a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in SEMH to join us ASAP in supporting students with depression in a nurturing and inclusive environment. This role is a new addition to our team to meet the growing needs of our students with SEMH requirements. We prioritise collaboration and open communication with parents to ensure the best outcomes for our students. You'll work closely with the class teacher and SENCO, receiving administrative support, in our supportive school culture where our values emphasise inclusivity and excellence.

Application Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.

• Patience, empathy, and resilience when working with students facing emotional challenges.

• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently with initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support and guidance to students with SEMH needs, specifically those experiencing depression.

• Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering differentiated lessons to meet the individual needs of students.

• Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported and valued.
