Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) to join our team. This role involves preparing accurate estimates for vehicle repairs as specified by insurers or customers, ensuring repair efficiency, and maintaining profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Estimating:

* Accurately prepare manual and computerised estimates in line with insurer and customer requirements.

* Ensure all estimates maintain the highest standards of customer care and satisfaction.

*

Parts Management:

* Order parts as necessary, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery for scheduled repairs.

* Inspect received parts for suitability, including genuine, non-genuine, or second-hand components, and ensure they are labeled and traceable.

* Return incorrect or unnecessary parts as needed.

File and Authorization Management:

* Maintain organized records of all estimates.

* Identify unauthorized work and secure approval before repairs begin.

* Follow up on pending authorizations and report reasons for delays or denials.

Collaboration:

* Liaise with body shop personnel to communicate repair instructions clearly and concisely.

* Inform the team if a vehicle is deemed a "total loss" in agreement with the insurance company.

*

Health and Safety:

* Comply with all relevant Health and Safety regulations and workplace policies.

Technical Knowledge

* The depth and scope of required technical knowledge will be agreed upon with your manager or team leader.

Additional Duties

* Perform any other reasonable tasks or duties within your capabilities, as directed by senior management.

Required Skills & Experience

* Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Vehicle Damage Assessor role.

* ATA qualification is preferred but not essential.

* Strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality work.

* Excellent organisational and communication skills.

* A valid driving license
