About the Role: We are seeking Experienced EPOS Engineers to join our dynamic team on a contractual basis. As an EPOS Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting and maintaining EPOS (Electronic Point of Sale) systems for our diverse client base, ensuring that systems are running smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and repair of EPOS hardware and software, providing exceptional technical support to customers across multiple industries.
Key Responsibilities: - Install, configure, and maintain EPOS hardware and software systems for clients.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to EPOS systems, including hardware failures, software glitches, and connectivity issues.
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and backups to ensure optimal system performance and security.
- Provide remote and on-site technical support for clients, offering professional guidance and advice.
- Collaborate with other technical teams and departments to deliver effective solutions and drive continuous improvement.
- Train clients on system functionality and best practices to ensure efficient usage of EPOS systems.
- Document service activities, including system diagnostics, repairs, and updates, in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the latest EPOS technologies and industry trends.
Requirements: - Proven experience as an EPOS Engineer, IT Support Engineer, or in a similar technical role.
- Strong knowledge of EPOS systems, hardware, and software, including common platforms (e.g., Ingenico, Verifone, NCR, Toshiba, Aloha).
- Experience with network setups, system diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and macOS, as well as cloud-based applications.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls or projects simultaneously.
- A valid driving license and the ability to travel to client sites as needed.
- IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.
Desirable: - Experience with point-of-sale peripherals (e.g., barcode scanners, receipt printers, cash drawers).
- Familiarity with EPOS integration for retail, hospitality, and other industries.
- Knowledge of data security and compliance regulations within the EPOS sector.
