Our client is a well established and successful manufacturer, they are looking to recruit someone as a Trainee Site Assembler to work with their Lead Site Assemblers, completing installation and refurbishment works on their air handling unit product range, across various sites nationwide.
NOTE: You must have a flexible approach to working hours, travelling, and overnight stays. Typically working away Monday to Thursday, and home Friday.
Requirements:
• Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or engineering role and environment.
• Must hold a valid UK driving license.
• Experience of working with air handling units in any capacity would be advantageous, but not essential.
• Fabrication experience is desirable.
• Holding a valid CSCS card is desirable.
• Valid IPAF and PASMA certificates are desirable.
• Be enthusiastic and willing to learn.
• Be reliable, punctual and hard working.
• Have the ability to take instruction from others and work using own initiative.
• Take pride in your work.
• Health and Safety awareness.
Salary: £12.84 per hour, working a 39 hour per week.
Duties / Responsibilities:
Working with one or more of their Lead Site Assembler, you will assist with and support the on-site installation and refurbishment works on air handling unit product range. You will observe the Lead Site Assemblers, learn from them, and develop your own skills and knowledge enabling you to become a Lead Site Assembler yourself. You will undertake a thorough Trainee programme and when this is complete, the duties that you will be expected to undertake are to complete on-site installation and refurbishment works on the air handling unit product range.
Duties include, but are not limited to;
• Sectional assembly of air handling units involving levelling and assembly of individual sections and installation of weatherproof roofs.
• Installation of air handling units delivered to site in full flat-pack form. Full assembly of air handling unit framework / panels and installation of all individual component parts. Occasionally involving offloading and distribution to the working area.
• Complete +VE/-VE air leakage testing in accordance with pre-determined criteria provided.
• Complete refurbishment works on existing units involving component part upgrades, internal / external cleaning, application of anti-corrosion treatment and setting parameters of new speed controllers.
• Taking accurate measurements for internal sheet metal parts required and providing details to office team.
• Thoroughly snag your own work and obtain completion sign-off from the customer's site representative.
• Liaise with the projects team to understand the requirements of each project and then take ownership for the timely completion to a high standard.
• Working strictly in compliance with project specific risk assessment and method statement, assessing and recording and deviations accordingly.
• Working strictly in compliance with each individual site's own health and safety requirements / policies.
