Our clients are a leading mechanical and electrical engineering company, offering an excellent opportunity for a Workshop Supervisor to join their expanding team in the UK. They're a business with a reputation for putting our employees first, and they are looking for a leader who will maintain high standards of quality and safety while managing the workshop production efficiently.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Manage workshop production to ensure all projects are manufactured within quoted and budgeted man hours.
  • Oversee operations to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Handle the receipt of materials, ensuring accuracy with paperwork and certificates.
  • Conduct stock audits, identify stock requirements, and communicate needs effectively.
  • Lead recruitment, development, and engagement of employees, ensuring proper induction and regular communication.
  • Accurately record and code employee timesheets.
  • Uphold health and safety standards, conduct safety inspections, and ensure the correct use of PPE.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of welding procedures and ensure works are carried out in accordance with engineering standards and documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Workshop Supervisor in a similar role.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as City & Guilds, ideally within the heavy fabrication industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in working to Engineering standards and demonstrating technical knowledge with practical application.
  • A reasonable degree of computer literacy.
