MCE are working with a welcoming and vibrant SEN primary school, committed to providing an outstanding education for all their pupils. They pride themselves on creating a supportive and inclusive environment where every child has the opportunity to succeed. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team and support the academic and emotional development of our students.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational needs of children with additional learning needs or disabilities. You will work closely with teachers to provide one-on-one or small group support, helping students access the curriculum, develop their skills, and build confidence.

The ideal candidate will be patient, compassionate, and committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment. If you are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children, this role is for you!

Key Responsibilities:

* Support students with a range of learning needs (e.g., SEND, behavioural, social/emotional).

* Assist with the delivery of differentiated learning activities and interventions.

* Provide individual or small group support for students both inside and outside the classroom.

* Foster an inclusive, positive, and supportive classroom environment.

* Help students develop their social skills and work on personal development.

* Monitor student progress and report to teachers and parents/carers as required.

* Assist with classroom management and ensure students' safety and wellbeing.

* Collaborate with teachers, SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), and other staff to support students' learning and development.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

* A caring and patient approach with a genuine desire to support children's learning.

* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

* An understanding of the challenges faced by children with additional learning needs.

* Knowledge of safeguarding practices and child protection procedures.

Desirable Attributes:

* Previous experience supporting children with SEND.

* A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent

* Knowledge of relevant strategies for supporting children with learning difficulties.

* A proactive and flexible attitude to working with children.

* A good sense of humour and a positive attitude towards challenging situations.
