Reed Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting for a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a temporary basis in Lenham. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the company’s accounts payable processes and ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.

• Process incoming invoices, verifying accuracy, approvals, and account coding in accordance with company policies.
• Prepare and perform payment runs, including checks, electronic transfers, and credit card payments.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies or queries related to accounts payable.
• Maintain vendor files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
• Assist with month-end closing procedures and provide support for internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with the finance team and other departments to improve AP processes and efficiency.

• Previous experience in an Accounts Payable role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
• Proficiency with accounting software and data entry.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
