Position: Electrical Design Engineer

Salary: £45-50k + Overtime (Circa £70/75k)

SQ Partners is currently recruiting for a talented and experienced Electrical Design Engineer on behalf of our client, a leading provider in the design and development of automation machinery. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team on a permanent basis in the Peterborough area.

Key Responsibilities:

* Control Panel Design: Develop detailed electrical designs for control panels, ensuring compliance with industry standards and specifications.

* Modifications & Upgrades: Perform modifications and updates to existing control panels, improving functionality and efficiency.

* Testing: Conduct thorough testing of control panels to ensure all systems are functioning optimally.

* Project Leadership: Lead and manage electrical design projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions on time and within budget.

* Software Tools: Utilize Eplan or AutoCAD Electrical to design and document control systems.

Required Skills & Experience:

* Proven experience in electrical design, specifically in control panels and automation machinery.

* Strong proficiency with Eplan or AutoCAD Electrical.

* Experience in project leadership and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

* A solid understanding of electrical testing, troubleshooting, and modifications.

* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
