Band 7 CAMHS Practitioner (RMN/Social Worker) - Long-Term Placement

Location: East Midlands
Role: Band 7 CAMHS Practitioner
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay: £30 per hour
Duration: Long-term placement
Essential: Car driver

We are seeking an experienced Band 7 CAMHS Practitioner (Registered Mental Health Nurse or Social Worker) for a long-term locum position. The successful candidate will be working within the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), playing a crucial role in supporting children and young people's mental health and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct holistic initial assessments of children, developing comprehensive formulations of their needs.
Plan and implement appropriate next steps for care and support.
Provide expert advice on managing mental health presentations and associated risks.
Carry out risk assessments and develop safety plans, ensuring thorough consideration of safeguarding.
Recognise and act upon safeguarding concerns (Level 3 safeguarding knowledge required).
Liaise with social care and other agencies when necessary.
Maintain accurate and contemporaneous records in line with NMC code of conduct and trust policies.
Demonstrate excellent communication and engagement skills when working with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements:

RMN or qualified Social Worker with experience working in CAMHS.
Strong assessment and formulation skills with the ability to plan effectively under pressure.
Experience in safeguarding and risk management.
High level of organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload.
Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
