GSL Education is working closely with a Special Needs School in Scarborough to appoint an Autism specialist Teaching Assistant to work on a flexible basis. As a flexible Autism specialist practitioner, you can choose whether to work part-time or full-time, term time only. This is a great opportunity to make a difference of the educational lives of children and young people with additional needs.

Autism Teaching Assistant Role and Responsibilities:

Prepare learning materials.
Assist in the delivery of play-based learning activities and educational activities.
Adapt teaching support according to individual student's needs.
Work alongside other professionals such as speech and language therapists and outside agencies to ensure EHCP outcomes are met.
Support pupils consistently whilst recognising and responding to their individual needs.
