ACCOUNTS MANAGER - CONSTRUCTION SECTOR - NEAR NEWBURY - CIRCA £32,000 PER ANNUM - PERMANENT POSITION

Carlton Young are a division of the EL8 Network, specialising in the recruitment of Accountancy & Finance professionals. The amalgamation of a highly experience recruiter and a chartered tax accountant, we have the skills and technical knowledge to identify and introduce you to the right positions.

We are working with a well-established construction based business, looking to appoint an Accounts Manager to join their office team and help with the day-to-day management of the accounts process. The role will include:

* Working in a small team within the accounts department, reporting directly to the Financial Controller

* Directly responsible for the Purchase Ledger Administrator, ensuring all work is correctly assigned and completed in a timely manner

* Issuing invoices on the sales ledger, with up to 60 invoices being issued per week

* Responsible for mid and month end payment runs

* Completing all daily bank reconciliation

* Assisting with month and year end accounts, including accruals and prepayments

* Completing PAYE and VAT returns

* Weekly and monthly payroll for approximately 60 employees as well as outsourced contractor invoices

The business are looking for someone who has managed a small team in an accounts environment and has experience within a business that with a turnover in excess of £15m per annum, you will:

* Have a minimum 3 years in an accounts assistant position

* Have studied AAT level 3 (or qualified by experience)

* Be able to work in a small team environment

* Have excellent attention to detail

* Use Sage Accounts & Payroll system

* Be a confident communicator and be able to liaise well with senior management and customers

* Work on your own initiative

The company is offering a starting salary of £32,000 for this role, working out of their offices based near Newbury
