Unqualified Learning Mentor + Additional Training

A fantastic secondary school in the heart of Hounslow is on the hunt for bright graduates to join their supportive team to start as Unqualified Learning Mentors as soon as possible. This would be a full-time contract for the entire academic year, with the possibility to then either complete teacher training with the school or remain in a pastoral unit.

Unqualified Learning Mentor - What will you be doing?

The school will lean into your strengths, if this is a specific subject you will assist in the classrooms of your specialism
If your strength is psychology / criminology, this could be supporting students with additional needs including SEN and SEMH needs
Delivering targeted interventions for students in 1:1 and group settings, gaining valuable teaching skills on a smaller scale
Assessing progress of students via exams, essays, and interventions and reporting this to a class teacher or SENCoThis role is an incredibly opportunity for aspiring teachers or aspiring psychologists alike, with the school keen to direct you towards your chosen area of support!

Unqualified Learning Mentor
Pay: £105 - £115 per day
Hours: 08:30 - 16:00 - Monday to Friday - No weekends
Contract: ASAP Start - Until the end of the Academic Year
Location: Hounslow, West London
Option to join the school's teacher training scheme from Sept 25

Graduates at 1st Class or 2:1 level - Essential
Experience working with young people - Essential
Strong A-Levels and GCSEs - Desirable
Passionate about supporting education for young people
Strong communication skills
