JOB PURPOSE:

KennedyPearce are hiring a part qualified Financial Accountant for a tech company based in West London. This role is hybrid working and the Financial Accountant will be a key member of the finance team, helping to support the Head of Financial Control across multiple subsidiaries ensuring reporting requirements, Balance sheet reconciliations and Audit are being met on a timely basis.

ROLE DUTIES OF FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT:

  • Posting and reconciling monthly journals and maintain, track adjustments during month end
  • Provide support during audit - involves liaising with auditors, preparing papers for the audit , cleaning up accounts.
  • Interface with AP, AR team, in terms of postings and smooth out errors, recons etc.
  • Ability to understand forecasts, budgets and able to analyse the variances with actuals
  • Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure that the accounting records for fixed assets, general accruals and prepayments are properly reconciled.
  • Preparation of the month end and daily bank reconciliations
  • To be able to analyse the P&L variances at month end and provide explanations
  • Cash flow management by ensuring payments are processed on a timely basis and preparation of cash flow forecast.
  • Working with AP team to generate weekly payment proposals to be reviewed with the CFO and CEO.
  • Able to post and analyse commercial journals, scrappage, royalty etc.
  • Understanding of inventory would be an added benefit
  • Assisting in consolidation

THE CANDIDATE:

  • Part Qualified professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data.
  • IT literate, with strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Flexibility to work to tight and unexpected deadlines.
  • Organisation and prioritisation essential to ensure key deliverables and deadlines are met
