Role details:

Technical Sales Engineer - Heat Pumps/CHP - Electrical bias
Field-service based, with mostly remote working and at least 1 day a week in offices in either Manchester or Windsor.
Competitive Basic Salary: Circa £65k (negotiable) + £5000 Car Allowance/Car

The Energy Division at ARM are currently recruiting an experienced Technical Sales Engineer (electrical) to join one of the UK's top Energy Business Solutions firms to play an important part in supporting the sales and tenders team who provide Heat Pumps and CHP products and services.

Job Overview:

The Technical Sales Engineer will be responsible for leading and managing all technical, environmental, and cost-related activities prior to contract award. This includes overseeing the preparation and completion of both budgetary and final proposals for client submission. The ideal applicant will have a strong understanding of the electrical engineering requirements for heat pump installations.

Some of your duties will include:

Review private (and potentially public) sector clients tenders and /or requirements for power and heating energy infrastructure package of works and outline technical solutions in line with their requirements
Survey clients site(s) to identify suitable technical solutions in line with the business's products and identify delivery risks
Deliver engineering outline design and sizing for the technical solutions and associated energy, costs and environmental benefits
Prepare and complete budgetary and final proposals for client submission
Support sales meeting with clients and lead on the technical aspects
Coordinate inputs from internal teams/functions (e.g. Commercial, Finance, Engineering, Projects) into the sizing and definition of the technical solutions
Arrange and facilitate client site survey(s) of specialist external contractors

What do you need to succeed?

Proven UK Standards Electrical Engineering background working within the Heat Pumps or CHP market.
Strong understanding of sizing for the technical solutions and associated energy, costs and environmental benefits.
You will have a solid knowledge of engineering project costing tools and cost management processes, along with proven experience in coordinating internal engineering resources and managing relationships with external contractors and installers
Full UK Driving license / Willingness to travel to customer sites for surveys
