Are you an experienced, confident and computer literate professional with the ability to provide support with a range of administrative duties?

Wandsworth Council Lifelong Learning (WCLL) delivers a number of programmes aimed at improving the lives of Wandsworth residents. As part of this team, you will be contributing to the continuous improvement of our services.

You will provide excellent customer service through this varied reception and administrative role, supporting young people and adults who are participating in adult / community learning, work experience and other related programmes.

About the role

In your day-to-day work, you will demonstrate a proactive approach, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to learners and staff.You will streamline administrative processes, ensure smooth operation of daily tasks, and support the effective implementation of our learning programmes.

Beyond providing administrative support, you will have the opportunity to assist with projects and marketing activities to broaden your experience.You will use various Office 365 applications and other customised databases to maintain and monitor information and records.Additionally, you will assist learners with enrolments and course inquiries, help set up training session and support information & marketing events.

By maintaining accurate records and facilitating efficient communication, you will contribute to an inclusive and supportive learning environment, empowering individuals to achieve their educational and personal goals.

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Accredited to Level 2 or equivalent in both English and Math's.
  • Previous administration / reception work experience with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High standards in English spelling, grammar, and punctuation coupled with good keyboard skills, use of Office 365 especially Outlook (email and calendar) and internet.
  • Proven experience in handling people effectively, politely, and diplomatically in person and over the phone.
  • Ability to work flexibly and co-operatively with colleagues in a team, asking for and giving support as needed while managing own tasks and workload.
  • An understanding of the importance of equality and diversity and health and safety in the workplace.
