gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for a Manufacturing Apprentice to work at their facility based near Welwyn Garden City

Performance Objectives

Engineering - Solving Problems, Investigation, answering queries, Cad and client projects
Tool Design - Learn how to design tools and Jigs for Presses and CNC
Quality - Learning how to complete FAI's and complete CAPA's including other quality assurance processes
EHS - Learning all aspect of the Health & Safety and Environmental requirements of the site.
Chemi-Milling Department (3 areas) - Milling Material using highly dangerous chemicals, NDT testing overview, Laboratory Testing
Laser/CNC - Learning setting, programming, and cutting of parts.
Hot Forming - Heat treatment, Material Protection, Setting & Loading Presses with tools, Development Work Projects
Finishing - Using Polishing & Finishing Machines, Drilling and De-Burring
Customer Accounts - Order Book, Scheduling, Shipping Paper Work, Customer meetings
Supply Chain - Production Planning, Material Planning, Job LoadingPerson Specification

A-C GCSE Level or equivalent in English and Maths
A - C GCSE Level or equivalent in Science or Woodwork or Metalwork
Experience of working in a Team Environment
Experience of meeting tight deadlines
Experience of using computers and technology
Good communication skills with the ability to communicate and liaise effectively at all levels within the Company;
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with both immediate team members and other production teams;Apply
