I'm looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join a leading Defence business at their manufacturing plant in Washington, Sunderland.

This is a rotating shift-based role of 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm and 10pm-6am with plenty of overtime available too.

What you'll be doing:

Site maintenance and installation activities
Minor/major repairs
Breakdown response and diagnostics to resolve manufacturing equipment issues
Support to contractors during technical works
Attendance at site operational meetings as required
Execution of work orders from the site CMMS
Update of work order details to maintain the asset database for the site on all works performedEssential Skills & Experience:

Time served Electrical apprenticeship preferably with HNC/HND qualification
17th/18th edition Wiring Regulation qualification
Manufacturing industry experience working to time pressure and performance metricsDesirable Skills & Experience:

Safety Qualifications (e.g. IOSH, working at height, MEWP licence)As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will carry out a varied range of electrical activities that protect the Washington site and ensure capability for manufacturing teams to perform their duties. This will include planned maintenance, reactive breakdown response/repairs and work requests.
