TeamJobs are seeking a dedicated and experienced Finance Manager to join our dynamic and growing telecoms client in Poole. The role will initially be part-time and temporary, with the potential to transition into a full-time permanent position. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, innovative company at a pivotal stage in its growth, playing a key role in bringing the finance function in-house.

Role Overview:

The Finance Manager will play a critical role in bringing the finance function in-house, overseeing all financial operations, and providing strategic advice to help guide the business as it scales. This role is ideal for a hands-on finance professional with experience in financial management, reporting, and scaling businesses. You will be instrumental in helping the business achieve its financial goals, providing high-quality financial advice, and ensuring robust financial controls are in place.

Key Responsibilities:

Take ownership of bringing the finance function in-house and managing day-to-day financial operations using XERO.
Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including management accounts, P&L, and balance sheets. Provide regular financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.
Advise on business priorities from a financial perspective, providing recommendations on cost management, profitability, and financial strategy.
Work closely with the senior leadership team to develop and implement financial strategies to support growth and scaling.
Offer insights into managing cash flow and resource allocation.
Establish and maintain robust internal financial controls and systems.
Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring alignment with company goals and strategic plans.
Day to day financial operations such as billing, invoicing, credit control and reporting.

Key Requirements:

Proven experience as a Financial Controller or Finance Manager, ideally with exposure to scaling businesses and setting up in-house finance functions.
Strong financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting skills.
Experience advising senior leadership teams on business priorities and financial strategies.
Ability to take a hands-on approach while also thinking strategically about business growth.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information for non-financial stakeholders.
Experience working in a fast-paced, growing environment (telecoms or similar sectors would be an advantage).

Desirable Skills:

Previous experience in a telecoms or technology-focused business is a plus.
ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
