Abatec Recruitment is proud to be working with a leading infrastructure contractor in partnership with Thames Water on AMP8 projects. We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

As a Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing various infrastructure projects.

As Project Manager you will:

* Resource Allocation & Site Staff Management - Ensure appropriate resource management and allocate tasks effectively across the site team.

* Budget & Progress Reporting - Report to senior management regarding the department's budget control procedures and track project progress against set timelines.

* Health & Safety Compliance - Ensure safe systems of work and strict adherence to the Company's Safety Policy.

* Quality & Environmental Management - Enforce and monitor the Division's Quality Assurance and Environmental systems to ensure high standards across all stages of the project.

* Project/Contract Management - Oversee the management of projects/contracts to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

* Communication - Maintain clear communication with stakeholders at all levels to keep everyone informed of progress, risks, and issues.

* Line Management/Supervision - Manage and mentor Sub Agents and General Foreman, ensuring strong leadership across the project.

* Supervision of Site Staff - Indirectly supervise Site Engineers, Foreman, and Gangers to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Our client requires a Project Manager with:

Essential

* Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.

* Proven experience in a similar Project Management role within the water sector.

* Experience working on large-scale projects for major clients such as Water Companies, Transport Infrastructure (e.g., LUL, HA), or Petro/Chemical industries.

* Strong background in engineering, with demonstrable career progression from Site Agent.

* Site qualifications including CSCS Card, SMSTS (5-day), First Aid at Work (4-day), and National Water Hygiene Card.

Desirable:

* Chartered status or working towards Chartership (e.g., ICE or similar).

* Attendance on relevant courses for Form of Contracts, Formwork/Falsework Appreciation, Concrete Technology, H&S Management, etc.

* Experience in leading complex projects with a focus on quality, safety, and environmental standards.

Salary and benefits include:

* £65,000 - £75,000 per annum
