SF are currently working exclusively with a business based in Matlock who have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant with the opportunity to progress to a Financial Controller. This is a brilliant opportunity for an Assistant who is looking to progress further with hands on support and study support.

Salary up to £33,000

Job duties:
- Working closely with the Financial Controller supporting with preparing the Monthly Management Accounts
- Month - End Duties: Bank & Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Month - End Journals (Accruals & Prepayments), Fixed Asset Register
- Analysing financial performance and contributing to business planning and forecasting
- P&L Analysis
- Assist with preparing Budgets and Forecasts
- Assist with preparing Cashflow Forecasts
- Assisting in the development and maintenance of financial policies and management information systems.
- Preparing periodic financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flow reports and variance analysis.
- Analysing financial performance and contributing to business planning and forecasting.

The ideal candidate will have the following:
Experience in Month - End duties (Bank/Balance Sheet/Month - End Journals/Fixed Asset Register
Studying AAT or Equivalent and looking to study further
Ambitious
Team player
Good Excel skills
Good attention to detail
