About the RoleAs a
Contracts Manager, you'll be at the heart of our Legal Team, supporting groundbreaking scientific programs at the Wellcome Genome Campus. You'll have the opportunity to make an impact by shaping agreements that underpin our world-leading research.
What You'll Do:- Draft, negotiate, and finalize contracts of varying complexity.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline legal processes and develop efficient practices.
- Contribute to compliance activities, including data protection and regulatory adherence.
- Simplify legal concepts for non-legal colleagues, empowering them with clear and practical guidance.
- Stay ahead of legal developments and share insights to keep the team informed.
Essential Skills:- A proven track record in drafting and negotiating contracts to successful completion.
- Solid knowledge of contractual issues within a scientific research context.
- Sharp risk assessment skills with the ability to seek advice when necessary.
- Excellent communication skills to build strong relationships across diverse teams.
- A proactive, solution-focused approach with a commercial and strategic mindset.
- Enthusiasm for supporting a charitable mission in scientific research.
About Us: The Legal Team is responsible for drafting and negotiating all agreements related to our activities. The Research Governance Team manages the complex ethical requirements of our research and the Corporate Governance Team supports GRL Board and its committees to maintain best-practice standards and processes.

Other Information:- Salary in the region of £41,000 - £48,000 with the final salary to be determined based on skills and experience
