My client, a highly respected nursing home for the elderly, is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Assistant to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis at their exceptional facility in West Byfleet.

As our Maintenance Assistant, you'll be a valuable member of our friendly, close-knit team, promoting the well-being of our residents and the successful running of our care home.

Requirements for Maintenance Assistant:

* A caring individual with experience in property maintenance (preferably in a care home setting, though not essential)

* Practical and proactive with a positive attitude toward working with people

* Enjoys building strong relationships with contractors, residents, and colleagues

* A true team player who takes pride in their work

* Committed to maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for residents

Responsibilities for Maintenance Assistant:

* Maintain the care home premises and grounds to a high standard, ensuring the safety of both residents and staff

* Conduct regular safety checks and carry out repairs within the care home and surrounding areas

* Liaise with engineers or service agents for any necessary maintenance or repairs

* Perform fire safety, basic electrical, and appliance checks to ensure compliance and safety

* Promptly report and address any faults or issues to maintain a safe environment for residents

* Keep the care home grounds tidy and welcoming for residents and visitors

* Undertake general redecoration work to ensure the home remains in excellent condition
