MHE Maintenance Engineer - Slough - Permanent

Location: Slough

Salary: £46,000 - £52,000 (Incl. shift & public holiday allowance)

Hours: 12-hour rotating shifts (4 on, 4 off)

Role Overview:
Provide engineering/maintenance support to maintain MHE systems, including powered conveyors, telescopic conveyors, scanning, and X-ray technology. Ensure functionality to meet or exceed the SLA in a safe, efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

* Maintain electrical and mechanical elements of MHE

* Carry out Planned and Preventative Maintenance (PPM)

* Report activities via CMMS

* Perform electrical inspections to 17th Edition standard

* Liaise with operational colleagues for maintenance coordination

* Assist with system modifications and repairs

* Contribute to continuous improvement within the MHE Maintenance team

* Support 24/7 operational requirements

Skills & Experience:

* Hands-on maintenance skills

* Strong fault-finding and analytical skills

* Ability to work safely at heights (MEWPs)

* Knowledge of engineering drawings and wiring diagrams

* Familiar with material handling equipment and PM schedules

* Proficient with power tools, hand tools, and IT systems

* Understanding of Health & Safety laws

Qualifications:

* 17th Edition certification

* A-Level/BTEC in mechanical/electrical or apprenticeship

* Full driving license

* Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar maintenance role
