We’re seeking two exceptional individuals to join Southwark Council's Temporary Accommodation Team:

  • 1x TA - Resident Services Officer (12-month fixed-term contract)
  • 1x TA - Resident Services Officer (Permanent role)

About the Role

As a Temporary Accommodation Resident Services Officer with Southwark Council, you’ll deliver responsive, customer-focused housing management services to residents in Temporary Accommodation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Being the trusted first point of contact for residents, offering empathy and practical solutions.
  • Inspecting properties and communal areas to ensure safety, maintenance, and high standards.
  • Managing tenancy agreements and promoting compliance.
  • Collaborating with departments and external partners to provide seamless and innovative services.
  • Tackling anti-social behaviour and addressing issues proactively.
  • Supporting vulnerable residents and guiding them toward secure, long-term housing solutions.

About You

We’re looking for compassionate, proactive individuals who:

  • Communicate effectively and build trust with residents, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service with a genuine passion for making a difference.
  • Have strong IT and organizational skills, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
  • Possess practical knowledge of social housing and stay informed about sector challenges and developments.
  • Are adaptable problem-solvers with a positive, proactive approach.
