Senior Design Manager

Location: Wolverhampton, UK

Type: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: Up to £85k plus competitive Car Allowance 

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Design Manager to join our team in Wolverhampton. In this role, you will oversee the design and technical aspects of projects, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery. This role focusses on Sustainable Living Spaces. 

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage design processes and teams.
Ensure regulatory and company compliance throughout projects.
Manage design programmes and approvals.
Conduct site visits and attend meetings as needed.

Essential Skills:

Strong leadership and communication skills.
Thorough understanding of construction regulations and building codes.
Proven experience in residential building design.
Ability to lead and manage the Building Regulations and Planning & Design function, acting as the designated individual for each allocated HRB project.
Monitor design work for regulatory compliance and establish scoping of designers.
Knowledge of the Building Safety Act and the HRB Procedure Regulations.

Desirable Skills:

Passion for construction and creating sustainable communities.
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD or Revit).
