A leader in the provision of fire protection services is looking for an experienced Working Supervisor who has previous experience as a fire door carpenter to work across social housing properties in the Liverpool and parts of Manchester area. There will be elements of installing and re-mediating fire doors, but also overseeing other joiners on sites, ordering materials and creating reports based on new installations. You will be predominantly site based overseeing the day to day operations for your team consisting of multiple fire door joiners. Works will be based across different sites so must be able to drive.

The successful candidate will have:

- Good technical knowledge of fire door compliance

- Experience working within sensitive environments

- The ability to liaise and report to clients and tenants where required

- Experience managing a team of trade operatives

- NVQ or equivalent in carpentry

- SMSTS or SSSTS certification

- Full UK driving license

Responsibilities include:

- Managing a team of operatives, both direct labour and subcontractors up to 10 at any one time

- Carrying out installations of new and remedial works to existing fire doors

- Making sure materials deliveries are carried out accurately and timely

- Managing appointments alongside your team of project coordinators

- Being the first port of call for your team when any issues arise

- Surveying both fire doors and carrying out post work inspections

- Assisting your contract manager where needed
