SEND Teaching Assistant - Key Stage 4
Are you a compassionate and experienced Teaching Assistant looking for an opportunity to support students with complex needs? A well-regarded special school in South Birmingham, rated "Good" by Ofsted, is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team and support a Key Stage 4 class.

This school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment for students with a range of additional needs, including Autism, Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties, and Communication Needs. You will be part of a highly supportive team that works together to ensure students receive the best possible education and care.
Job Role:

Providing one-to-one and small group support to Key Stage 4 students with SEND
Assisting the teacher in delivering tailored lessons to meet individual learning needs
Supporting students with communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation
Adapting learning materials and activities to ensure accessibility for all students
Helping to create a positive and structured learning environment
Working closely with the SENCO, teachers, and other support staff to promote student progressRequirements:

A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
Experience working with children with SEND, particularly in a special school setting
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students with complex needs
Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to de-escalate challenging situations
