We are looking for a Support Proposals Engineer to work for an International company within the Electrical lighting & Cabling sector based in the North East

Support Proposals Engineer will work under the coordination and guidance of the UK Managing Director and be responsible for the development of preliminary technical designs and corresponding proposals.

This role involves preparing / scrutinizing technical and commercial product enquiries received, then forwarding them to their Head office

Upon tender return, the support engineer will forward to the customer and follow this through & try to optimize the company chances to win the order.

Once ordered, be involved in the project execution and co-ordination with the appointed project manager through until the project is successfully handed across to the client

The Proposal Engineer is also responsible for generating offers in the SAP system and, when necessary, improving or updating technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical analysis of requirements

Development of technical proposals

Creation of project documents (drawings/datasheets)

Offer preparation in SAP

Drafting supporting documentation

Requirements:

A degree in Engineering or a scientific discipline and/or previous experience in a similar role.

Ability to critically analyse technical and commercial documentation

Experience in drafting offers in SAP

Proficiency in written and spoken English; a second language is a plus

Advanced knowledge of Excel and main IT tools; experience with SAP systems is a plus

Understanding of design fundamentals

Knowledge of electrical systems and electrical engineering principles

Proficiency in AutoCAD

Additional Knowledge:

Experience with Revit

Strong critical analysis, attention to detail, and precision

Proactive attitude and strong interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and meet deadlines

Strong teamwork skills
