Contract Details:

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the annual budget and quarterly reforecasts, providing strategic planning information for Sales, Cost of Sales, and Operational expense plans.
  • Ensure comprehensive completion of the annual budgeting process for all areas of responsibility.
  • Manage Store Investment Appraisals, including sales forecasts and store by store proformas.
  • Review CPG P&Ls to ensure accuracy and identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of store performance, including second sites, potential store closures, and like-for-like analysis.
  • Provide insights on "What if" scenarios, analysing sales opportunities/downturns and profit implications.
  • Collaborate with Merchandising to align Buying and Finance plans.
  • Analyse and evaluate MPPR information, comparing it with the company's business plan and managing any variances or updates.
  • Produce ad hoc information and analysis, supporting project work as required.
  • Support the Director of FP&A and Financial Controller by providing ad hoc analyses, forecasts, or scenarios.
  • Make operational decisions to accomplish day-to-day tasks.
  • Make tactical decisions that could affect others in the job function.
  • Make strategic decisions that could impact the overall company.
  • Collaborate with directors/managers across the organisation to ensure accurate reporting of sales, Cost of Sales, and Operational Expenses.

Education and/or Certifications:

  • Qualified Accountant, CIMA or ACCA

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience as a Financial Analyst, Management Accountant, or Commercial Accountant.
  • Experience in a Retail Environment.
  • Solid experience in preparing month-end accounts.
  • Experience with Oracle Financials.
  • Knowledge of the broad spectrum of Finance.
  • Advanced Excel and general Microsoft Office skills.
  • Proficiency in Power BI.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
