Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Family Support Worker for a Local Authority Client based in North London.
In this role, you will provide practical and emotional support to disabled children and their families, ensuring their needs are met through effective planning, collaboration, and crisis intervention.
About the role:
You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:
- Review and update Child in Need plans, ensuring they meet assessed needs and include SMART goals.
- Provide direct emotional and practical support to families, responding promptly to crises and emerging needs.
- Develop and manage personalised support plans, including budgeting and payment systems, in collaboration with families and professionals.
- Liaise with partners and services to coordinate support, promote resilience, and offer tailored advice to families.
About you:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Significant experience working with disabled children and their families, particularly in a culturally diverse, urban environment.
- Experience in implementing interventions to support families, addressing a range of complex needs.
- Experience in developing and reviewing personalised care plans and managing personal budgets.
- Ability to work collaboratively with partner agencies and professionals to support family outcomes.
What's on offer:
Salary: £21+ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
